Saudia and Philippine Airlines Aircraft Collide in Manila

A Saudia Boeing 787 and a parked Philippine Airlines Airbus A320 were involved in a ground collision at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, Philippines.

According to initial reports, the wingtip of the Saudia aircraft, which was preparing to operate a Manila–Jeddah flight, made contact with the tail section of the parked Philippine Airlines aircraft.

Philippine Airlines said there were no passengers or crew on board the A320 at the time of the incident and that no injuries were reported.

Following the collision, the Philippine Airlines A320 was removed from service for inspection. Saudia Flight SV871 was cancelled.
